Creating bedroom rebellion with Sid​

Challenge

A Yorkshire-based ‘sleep system’ start-up asked for our help with launching the world’s first interchangeable mattress and bed. The idea behind the brand was ‘bedroom rebellion’ – mattresses and bedroom accessories both brilliant on the inside and beautiful on the outside.

The Sid team had a 12-month comms plan ready – they just needed someone who could produce the content to make it a reality. Being a start-up, they also needed a cost-effective solution giving them value from every penny spent.

Approach

We developed an intense shoot schedule which took place across the space of a week, involving the client throughout the shooting process to ensure we captured everything that was needed at each stage.

We cast models who matched the brand and developed a pose guide which was shared with them ahead of the shoot so we could maximise our time with them. We shot a number of lifestyle scenes in our studio, where we’d arranged multiple sets and dressings, featuring the models relaxing and being playful on Sid’s products.

Outcome

Spacing the post-production out over several months to deliver the content as needed, Sid were left with a suite of short, beautifully shot marketing videos. We sized them to various aspect ratios so the brand could use them full-screen on their website but also on their social channels.

On top of this, our photographer captured stills to support their 12-month campaign and branding inside their pop-up store in Leeds city centre.
