It’s important to take time out to reflect

When you’re at your busiest, it’s difficult to take time out as a team to reflect and plan, but paradoxically it’s more important than ever, to make sure that things run as smoothly as possible.

The whole Paradigm team took a trip away to spend some quality time together in the beautiful town of Wirksworth in Derbyshire.  To get some good country air, be inspired by nature, and if there was the opportunity for some eating and drinking then so be it.

Once we were settled in after a spot of lunch the team got to work on some important sessions chatting creatively and openly about all things Paradigm, planning ahead for the remainder of 2016 and beyond. It’s really important for the team to spend some time away from the busyness of the office to talk business so we can all collaborate and focus on the best ways of working for our clients.

Just as importantly the weekend gave everyone the chance to relax in the beautiful surroundings and socialise outside of the office. Partners and family members were all welcomed along – the extended Paradigm family is an important part of who we are, and their support helps us do what we do.

Across the whole weekend everyone enjoyed some great food, drink and activities.  Board games on the first night resulted in some creative new adaptations (pop up porkpie-rate was an instant favourite), whilst the cinema room became a popular hang-out for the kids.
Everyone had an array of activities to cover across Saturday including bike riding, laser tag, kayaking, and exploring the local town with its cobbled roads and quaint tea-rooms – which was only slightly dampened by the unreliable British summer weath. After all that adventure we’d worked up an appetite, so the summer evening BBQ was a real treat, as was the in house Sauna room which proved useful after an active day.
